Rochel Roland, Founder of Joyful Bath Co.

If you’re reaching this page, I guess you want to know more about the woman behind the scenes of Joyful Bath Co., so okay then, I’ll share a bit more with you than I do on the Our Story page of this website.

Here I am almost 2 years into the Joyful Bath Co. journey and at least 80% of the time I absolutely LOVE it and 20% of the time or less I wonder what I got myself into! It’s been 12 hour plus days of zoom, zoom and more zoom but I wouldn’t have it any other way. The responses I get from our customers about how our bath salts and soaps make them feel is what this business is all about. I adore the fun and play I get to have with everyone through the wonderful world of social networking every Wednesday during our Twitter #Bathday games, on our Joyful Bath Co. Facebook page and in real life at various trade shows, gift shows and pop-up retail venues.

My favorite quote which has proven to be true in my life along the way is this one below by Goethe. And during this journey of Joyful Bath Co. it’s truth continues to amaze me as I move merrily on my way, one foot in front of the other, not necessarily knowing exactly where I’m going or exactly where I’ll end up but nonetheless fully committed.

"Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back– Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth that ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way. Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now."

It’s the magic of the "unforeseen incidents, meetings and material assistance which no man could have dreamed would have come his way" which makes me jump out of bed in the morning. And now you know part of what motivates me. The story doesn’t end here, only for now, but you can check back on this page as I’m sure I’ll be adding to it when the next bit of thoughts flow.
