A Chiropractor’s View on Mineral Salts Baths

Dr. Amanda Thompson

Lately, there seems to be nothing that I enjoy more than a therapeutic mineral salts bath to end my day, specifically, a Joyful Bath Co. ‘Nilla Buttermilk salts bath. Ahhh, Heaven. Many people know that these baths can be relaxing for the body and the mind, as well as nourishing for the skin, but how many know that these mineral salts are actually absorbed into your body through your pores, and that once inside the body systems, they are affecting our health in a positive way?

As a chiropractor and holistic healthcare provider, I see patients all day long for either musculoskeletal or internal health concerns. My treatments include chiropractic adjustments along with muscle therapies, massage of reflex points, manipulation of cranial bones, and more, all of which release toxins from the tissues into the lymph or waste system of the body. I tell every patient that the best way to end his or her day after a treatment is with a mineral salts bath. The salts actually help to draw out and flush toxins through the pores in our skin, therefore eliminating toxic build up in the body.

In the increasingly toxic world that we live in making sure we reduce and eliminate our toxic load is important. Mineral salts baths with natural, healthy and environmentally friendly ingredients, are one way to do this. Also, the minerals can be healing to bones and soft tissue structures including muscle, ligament, discs, and more, many of which are composed of minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, and others found in mineral salts.  So next time you take a bath, remember that in addition to the relaxation, stress management benefits, and soft skin, these salts are actually helping to therapeutically heal your body!

This is Why

Joyful Bath Co. was created to offer natural bath product that promote the simple joys of life and with emails like this shown below, we know we’re doing our job well. This is why we do what we do.

"I can not thank you enough for my green tea glee soap.  I have it sitting in my soap dish and my bathroom smells so great, and I haven’t even used it yet!  I have muscular dystrophy and am homebound, so I spend my time most days on the computer, trying to win prizes or obtain free product coupons to get something in the mail other than bills and advertisements.  I have a small social security income so a soap from you is a wonderful treat and is very much appreciated.  I am totally delighted with the strong scent and wish candles and diffusers could smell as nice as this soap does.

I will post a thank you on twitter and facebook for others to read, but wanted to express my gratitude to you this way.

Thank you again for doing the twitter giveaway on Wednesdays and I hope your company and products do well."
